During the Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) held by Apple, they revealed big-ticket announcements. They also slip in a few upgrades, including the new iPad Smart Case that covers both the front and back.
Its predecessor, Smart Cover, is a magnetic slim case that hooks on the front of your iPad and protects the screen. With the new Smart Case, it covers the back of your iPad as well.
If you are smart enough, using the Smart Cover alone to protect your tablet will not be an option. Thankfully, Apple has come up with a solution with this new iPad Smart case.
The slim-yet-sturdy iPad Smart Case protects your iPad screen and its aluminum back. So your iPad is fully covered on all sides. And colorful too.
Consumers who would buy this new case from Apple can have their cover engraved at no extra cost.
The addition did not offer new functionality from the Smart Cover, which was released on March 2011, aside from the back protection. You can still double it up as stand by folding the front flap.
This new Smart Case for your iPad is made from polyurethane and is on sale now for $49 on Apple’s online store. It is available in 6 colors, namely: dark gray, light gray, green, pink, blue and red.
Unfortunately, the Smart Case does not have a leather option and some are already complaining about the price tag. Also, many are asking why Apple released it just now.
How about you, what do you think of the new iPad Smart Case from Apple? Are you going to buy it at $49? Should Apple have released it when the new iPad was launched?
One positive about a lot of these cases, other than protecting your ipad, is how they hold the ipad at a better angle to view the screen. There are lots of cases that you can get that make it easier to view films and series on your ipad. There are lots of different services that you can use to stream videos on your device, such as LOVEFiLM and Netflix. You can compare these two services, and you can get more of a feel for them by looking at whether you can use the netflix free trial or the LOVEFiLM free trial, and then you can make more of a decision on which, if either service to use.
