How To Promote And Integrate Facebook On Your Site or Blog

How To Promote And Integrate Facebook On Your Site or Blog

If you just recently jumped on the social media bandwagon and created a fan page for your business, you might now be looking at ways to expand your reach and add Facebook into your site or blog. If so, this article covers a few ways to do so.

Let’s start by saying a few words about Facebook and how it can help you gain leads, traffic and even sales for your company. One thing that needs to be noted right off the bat is that Facebook is the #1 social media hub with over 1 billion users. Yes, 1 billion. That means lots of people use the site and they use it regularly. As for what this means for you, this could mean that you stand a good chance of bringing in free traffic back to your blog or simply better brand engagement. It all depends on how you plan to use your Facebook page, but it’s important that you promote and integrate the page itself on your existing website or blog to derive max benefit.

So with that in mind, below we cover a few ways to promote and integrate Facebook into your website or blog. See our top tips as follows.

1. Facebook Like Box -

This is the most recognized and widely used method to get others to “like” your Facebook fan page. Because it is so widely used  most people recognize it as soon as they see it, this is your best bet in getting people to join and follow you there. Whenever I visit a retailer’s website or blog, if I happen to see the famous Facebook Like Box I almost always click the small blue Like button to get their updates in my newsfeed. And if you play your cards right, so will your readers and visitors.

How To Promote It: On your sites right or left sidebar near the top and or the homepage.

2. Dedicated Social Media Page -

If you got a bit too excited and joined every social media network on the web, then one good way to promote and integrate them all is to place them on a dedicated page. In this page, you would list each network and its corresponding link. Essentially the easier you make it for others to follow or fan your profiles, the more of both you will have. So use the dedicated social media page to get others to learn of your various networks and also to easily be able to follow you.

How To Promote It: On your site’s navigation or a big banner on the blog.

3. Through Your Blog Author Box -

Most blog themes have an author BIO box which allows you to place information about your site, your company and links to your various social media profiles. You can add HTML in the box and it accompanies every blog post you write, near the bottom of each post. This is a great and coveted spot on most blogs and one you should pay special attention to – when you craft your author BIO.

How To Promote It: It basically promotes itself with every new blog article you write.

With the sheer reach and power of Facebook, it’s silly not to add the network into your overall marketing arsenal. Try our tips above to get the ball rolling today.
