The Logistics of Voting [Infographic]
Voting sounds easy, but do you know how it works? On election day most of us just go to our polling place, cast our vote, and we’re done. However, there is actually more to the voting process that we don’t personally see.
For example, before election day poll workers must be hired and all polling places must be prepared for the big day. This means making sure all the voting machines are working properly and that the area is clean and accessible for the voters.
During election day it is the poll workers responsibility to make sure everything runs smoothly and voters know where to go. They also help any voters with problems they may have with the voting machines, which happens often, especially with electronic voting machines.
After all votes have been cast, the poll workers clean up and send off the ballots to a counting facility where the count begins. To find out more about the voting process check out the infographic below presented by Click Software.
